Local tip
As its name suggests, Le Champagne also offers a great selection of champagne, as well as wine.

Lovers of the elegance and sophistication that is French cuisine, you will be pleased to note that a new French restaurant has joined the dining scene. Located in the Mansion Hotel, in the French Concession area, it is easily accessible and a stone's throw away from many of the city's hot spots and landmarks.

Le Champagne sits on the top floor of the stunning, historical hotel, built in 1933 by French architect Lafayette. It has a rooftop terrace, and though modest in size, is cozy and offers great views of the area's beautiful skyscrapers.

Their indoor seating area is decorated in a very natural color palette, with polished wooden floors and light, creamy curtains. Beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows surround the room, accentuated by vases of fresh-cut flowers. The result is a laid-back, classy environment that enjoys lots of natural light during the day, and affords great views of the city at night.

Le Champagne serves delicate, beautifully put-together French dishes. Every care is given to each step of the preparation process, from selecting only the finest ingredients, right to the way the food is plated and served. Their head chef, Chef Chen Lanshu from Taiwan, lives up to her impressive reputation. As the recipient of 2014 Asia's Best Female Chef in the 2014 Asia's Best 50 Restaurants awards, she strives for nothing but perfection, and is meticulous to the very core.
