Description
Meet your guide or driver in your Shanghai hotel lobby in the morning to begin your day. Take a high-speed bullet train to Linhai, using the journey to discuss your itinerary with your private guide, who will tailor activities to your interests.
At Linhai, visit the Great Wall Scenic Area to explore the Linhai Great Wall, also called the “Southern Great Wall.” Built during the Jin Dynasty (317–420 AD) by the same designer as Beijing’s Badaling Great Wall, it originally extended 6,000 meters, with 5,000 meters still walkable. You can walk the wall in 2–3 hours, while your guide shares historical and cultural insights.
Afterward, explore Ziyang Old Street, a historic district with restored buildings reflecting original architecture. The street hosts numerous shops selling local specialty gifts and foods. Spend 1–2 hours browsing the area, known for hosting a Chinese New Year Gala in past years.
You can customize your private tour by choosing to rest or explore further. If you have visited Linhai before, your guide can suggest alternatives such as Linghu Park or East Lake to enhance your experience.
Conclude your day by boarding the bullet train back to Shanghai, where your guide or driver will escort you safely to your hotel.
