One of the very few halal restaurants in Nanjing Rd area. They served variety of halal Chinese food made from beef, chicken, lamb, seafood and veges. Big portion of each dish so mind your order. The steamed fish dish is good - steamed to perfection, fresh and mixed with noodles and vegetables. The radish with mushroom dish (forgot all the name) and soup of egg and tomato slices were also good. For my South East Asian tongue used to very spicy and savory food - the food in china is mostly rather bland but here the taste is still okay. And mostly important for my husband was because they’re halal. The restaurant was clean and 2 levels - and located very conveniently near the Nanjing People’s plaza. Very fast service. And they gave us free hot tea. Priced 30-100 Yuan.
I ate at Qingmeiju Muslim Restaurant, and my experience was excellent. I tried the beef fried rice and kebabs, and the taste was delicious and full of flavor. The restaurant has a nice and calm atmosphere, and the place is very clean and well maintained. Prices are affordable, which makes it a great choice for travelers. Amazing halal Chinese food, we ordered the beef Noodles and beef dumplings. Both were very good. We don't speak Chinese but managed to order and communicate well with the staff who were helpful. The menu also has English translations and pictures.
Halal Lanzhou beef noodles and beef dumplings with huge portions. The braised beef was better than the pickled cabbage noodles. The cucumber salad was so refreshing and crunchy. Everything was delicious.
