Shanghai World Financial Center Observatory

The Shanghai World Financial Center Observatory was authenticated by Guinness World Records on its first anniversary. It holds the record as the highest observation deck in the world. The 100th floor (478 meters) of the observatory features a special 50-meter-long glass floor. It welcomes guests from all over the world to experience the spectacular bird's-eye-view across Shanghai.
It has 101 floors total and a total building area of 381,600 square meters. The inspiration for the building's basic shape comes from ancient Chinese appliances, yubi and yucong. The building adopts a sleek and realistic glass and metallic shell so visitors can enjoy the building's changing appearance depending on the weather and light. The 50-meter-diameter circular hole at the top of the building, in coordination with the design of the Oriental Pearl Television Tower from afar, creates a 'moon gate' design, inspired from traditional Chinese architecture to reflect oriental culture's conception of heaven and earth.
The entrance of the observatory is in Basement 1 on the west side of the building (just opposite the Jinmao Building). Tickets are sold here and visitors can take the elevator directly to the sightseeing platform. Sky arena on F94 provides a perfect and extensive view of Shanghai along theHuangpu River. The 750-square-meter (about 897-square-yard) sightseeing hall is also suitable for exhibitions. Parapets in the window on F97 provide a place to take pictures. The open skylighted ceiling shows ingenuity in design. In good weather, it can be opened, turning the hall into an overpass in the air.  The Sky Walk on F100 is a 55-meter (180-foot) corridor. While wandering on the floor made of transparent glass, you can see the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower just in front and feel as if you are walking in the air above the roof of the Jinmao Building. Vehicles, pedestrians and even the whole city seem to be far away, down below.
There is also a beautiful sight of the whole city from the Park Hyatt Hotel. The hotel's lobby, with cocktail bar, is on the 87th floor, overlooking Pudong. Overlooking the entire city, the 100 Century Avenue Restaurant on the 91st floor appeals to all senses, with a perfect perspective to see the top of the near neighbor Jinmao Building, the full extent of Pudong and the Oriental Pearl Tower as well as many symbolic landmarks of Shanghai.

上海环球金融中心是中国第一、世界第五高楼，它位于陆家嘴金融贸易区内，毗邻金茂大厦，形状有点像开瓶器，它楼高492米、地上101层，由商场、办公楼及上海柏悦酒店构成。其中，94至100层为观光厅，是俯瞰上海风景的最佳地之一；而100层更是世界最高的观光厅，可以平视东方明珠的尖顶，最有特色的是一条长约55米的悬空观光长廊，没有一点勇气可是不敢走过去的。

上海环球金融中心有6个入口，2号门是观光厅入口，在东泰路靠近花园石桥路上。从入口进入B1F的售检票区域，这里专门为游客准备了由日本著名多媒体艺术家岩井俊雄先生设计的'LED光影艺术作品'，然后乘坐最快速度达每秒8米的高速电梯，从地下2层到94层只需要66秒的时间。游览可以从94层开始，通过自动扶梯到达97层，走过观光天桥乘电梯到达100层，当然也可以反着来。在94层还可以买明信片和邮寄明信片。

参观完观光厅后，可以坐电梯到地下2层至地上3层，这几层设有各类店铺，购物、吃饭，或者来个下午茶，都是不错的选择。
