Old Kela Shanghai Cuisine (Chuangxing Branch)

'Kela', an expression in Shanghai Pidgin English, is the transliteration of the English word 'Class', which originally means rank and status. People in ancient times have an extreme strong sense of hierarchy, and only those who own a fortune or have a high status are considered in the same league as 'class'. Another meaning of 'class' is acknowledged excellent, or of ancient Greek and Latin literature, art or culture. Now, 'Kela' is also much used to describe things or people of high quality or taste.
