Shadow & Light (Tianzifang) Tucked away inside the winding alleyways of Tianzifang (and most easily accessed via Gate 2), Shadow & Light is a quirky, intimate cocktail bar full of distinct character. The layout features a funky, narrow staircase tucked into the corner that leads up to a cozy second-floor seating nook. While the footprint certainly isn't the most spacious, it is more than sufficient for an intimate nightcap. You can truly appreciate the immense thought and care poured into the creative menu design and the curated, atmospheric lighting that ties the entire venue together. Just manage your expectations: this is an authentic, charmingly rustic alleyway bar rather than a high-end, luxury lounge; and that is precisely where its charm lies.
The place is easy to find via maps. The drink variety is pretty good and the shisha very good, staff is very friendly and always answers your questions.
