My friends brought me here and I’m really glad they did because this ended up being one of the most comfortable bars I visited in Shanghai. The place has more of a classic cocktail bar feel, but without the stiffness that sometimes comes with that. Good music, low lighting, people actually relaxing and talking instead of treating cocktails like a business meeting. The drinks were excellent too. Very clean, very balanced, no unnecessary theatrics. I had teo drinks and both were exactly what I wanted them to be. Strong, smooth, properly made. Nobody was trying too hard to look cool, and because of that, the bar actually was cool. Just a genuinely nice atmosphere where you can sit with friends for hours without noticing time passing. Would absolutely go back next time I’m in Shanghai.

Proper cocktail bar/speakeasy, reasonable prices, old timey Americana feel, and unpretentious. Also the best selection of Bourbon in Shanghai.
