Absolutely incredible food. Easy menu and they had someone who was able to speak English so super friendly and easy. To order. The price was really good too for the amount of food you get! A must stop location for me every time.
🍽 From childhood memories to now This is a place I’ve been going to since I was little 🥹 It used to be called Xingxing Kitchen, now it’s Dongcheng Story — but the taste still feels like home. ✨ Must order Sweet & Sour Mandarin Fish (with pine nuts!!) Crispy outside, soft inside, perfectly sweet and tangy — so addictive.🫶💝 A lot of international friends love this dish too!✨ 🌿 House special Bamboo Chicken Super fragrant and comforting, one of their signature dishes. 🍺 Little surprise They have Shanghai local beer — Libo Beer 🍻 Makes the whole experience feel extra authentic. 💬 Service The owner speaks very good English, super friendly and easy to communicate with! 💛 Overall Cozy, nostalgic, and full of “mum’s cooking” vibes. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.🤤🫶✨
The food was so so, but we were completely surprised. They behaved very rudely — we went there at 9 p.m., and at 9:20 they brought the bill and turned off the lights. This kind of behavior was extremely disrespectful. We didn’t even finish our food, and there were still three other families there. Definitely not recommended — the staff were very impolite.
