  • Lujiazui: A Symbol of Modern China, Viewed from Its Summit and Night Scenery

Description

The morning itinerary begins at Jing'an Temple, where the golden dome of this thousand-year-old temple complements the surrounding skyscrapers, serving as an excellent symbol of Shanghai's inclusiveness and multiculturalism. Then, we walk to the Malherbe Villa, a Nordic-style castle built in the dreamlike style of a fairy tale. Its unique architectural style makes it a popular photo spot and also silently tells the legendary stories of old Shanghai. These two adjacent landscapes form a wonderful dialogue that transcends time and space. At noon, head to the Bund. The international architectural complex here is not a cold stone forest, but a living fossil of Shanghai as a modern financial center in the Far East. Each building carries a heavy historical burden. It is recommended to enjoy lunch at Jichangxing and taste the signature crab roe noodles. The crab roe noodles here have a strong crab flavor and are an excellent choice to experience the local food culture In the late afternoon, ascend to the observation deck of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and take a bird's-eye view from high above. You can fully appreciate the charm of the old city in Puxi and the skyscraper cluster in Pudong (the 'three-in-one' of Lujiazui). This stark contrast is the best way to feel the pulse of Shanghai. The night view of the Huangpu River brings a splendid ending to the day, with bright lights on both shores. History and future engage in a dialogue through light and shadow at this moment. You can choose to take a cruise or stroll along the Bund, both of which will provide you with unforgettable experiences
