Your Suzhou day trip starts with hotel pickup in downtown Shanghai, followed by a 30-minute bullet train ride to Suzhou. The itinerary is customizable to suit your preferences.
Upon arrival, visit one of Suzhou’s renowned UNESCO gardens, such as the Humble Administrator’s Garden, known for its Taihu rockeries, pavilions, ponds, flowers, and bonsai parks. Your guide will share the garden’s history and cultural significance. Alternatively, you may choose other gardens like the Master of Nets Garden, Lingering Garden, or Lion Forest Garden.
Next, explore Suzhou’s ancient canal waterways by strolling along stone-paved streets, browsing water markets, and observing Jiangnan architecture. Learn about local traditions as you watch people dressed in dynasty costumes.
Continue to Guanqian Street, where traditional and modern cultures merge. Here, enjoy a local lunch at a recommended restaurant based on your dietary preferences.
In the afternoon, visit Tiger Hill scenic area to see the ancient Wuzhong Gate and the historic leaning pagoda.
