Description
After pickup at the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel, the tour heads west to Zhujiajiao, located 50 kilometers (31 miles) from Shanghai. Known as the best-preserved water town in the region, it features centuries-old houses lining canal banks and stone bridges over 5,000 years old.
The tour includes a 20-minute boat ride through the canals, providing a unique perspective of the town’s architecture and layout. Following the cruise, there is free time to explore Zhujiajiao independently, with options to visit local gardens or browse handicraft shops.
At the designated time, the group reconvenes for a lunch of traditional dishes with a soft drink.
After lunch, the tour continues to Tianzifang in the former French Concession, known for its art galleries, design studios, and boutiques. Guests can shop or continue exploring before choosing to stay in Tianzifang or return by bus to the Shanghai Replica Market, where the tour concludes after 7 to 8 hours.
