Your Shanghai city tour begins with hotel pickup in downtown Shanghai. Travel comfortably with private transfers and a professional German-speaking guide.
The suggested itinerary covers approximately 7–8 hours, adjustable according to your pace and interests. You can customize your route with your guide during the tour.
Start at the Bund, the colonial-era promenade along the Huangpu River. View the contrast of historic buildings and modern skyscrapers, including landmarks like the Old Customs House. Learn about Shanghai’s history from your guide.
Next, visit the Old Town Bazaar to explore lively markets and Qing dynasty architecture. Walk across the ‘Nine Zigzag’ bridge and shop for souvenirs. Then, tour the 500-year-old Yu Garden with its classical pavilions, ponds, and rockeries.
Continue to People’s Square, a central park area where you may see the local marriage market on weekends. Alternatively, stroll along Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s main shopping street.
