We are the Loong Journey x CLT team — a professional inbound travel team specializing in authentic Chinese cultural trips for global visitors. We provide local guides fluent in English, German, French, Italian and Russian, a rare multi-language service hard to find on most Shanghai city tours.
*If you require a tour guide speaking any language other than English, bookings must be made at least 3 days prior to your trip date. This allows us enough time to arrange a professional guide proficient in your preferred language.
On the day of your tour, your local multi-lingual guide and private driver will meet you at your downtown Shanghai hotel. Your 4-hour private city tour is fully customizable, and we’ve prepared a carefully curated classic route to let you discover Shanghai’s unique charm in half a day:
Start with Serenity at Jade Buddha Temple
Begin your day with a visit to the Temple, a tranquil sanctuary of traditional Chinese Buddhism in central Shanghai. Admire exquisite jade Buddha statues and quiet temple courtyards, and listen to in-depth cultural and historical explanations from your EN/DE/FR/IT/RU guide.
Stroll Through the French Concession & Wukang Road (Optional choice)
Next, explore the charming French Concession. Wander tree-lined Wukang Road lined with elegant European villas, take photos at the landmark Wukang Building, and hear vivid stories of Shanghai’s old colonial era.
Explore the Timeless Yu Garden Area
Continue to the bustling Yu Garden district. Roam lively ancient lanes, cross the iconic zigzag bridge and immerse yourself in authentic old Shanghai vibes. You may try local street snacks or wander freely among lively stalls (Yu Garden interior admission is optional and not included).
Throughout your tour, complimentary bottled water and classic Shanghai local snacks are provided. At the end of your journey, you will receive an exclusive Shanghai-themed fridge magnet as a unique souvenir. We will drop you back safely at your original downtown hotel after the whole experience.
