Description
Step into the 1,800 m² immersive YANYUE theatre at West Bund Dream Center for a feast for both taste and sight. The 10‑meter‑high venue features 360‑degree panoramic screens, holographic projections, aerial wire stunts and digital water‑curtain effects.
The 90‑minute show unfolds in seven acts: grand opening ceremony of ancient Shanghai, Dunhuang Silk‑Road aerial dance, refined Song‑dynasty literati culture (tea‑ceremony, incense, flower & painting), romantic water‑sleeve dance, Peking‑opera excerpts, live Chinese instrumental music, and glamorous 1930s Republican‑era Shanghai Qipao show.
Following the “one dish, one performance” concept, every course of your Chinese banquet pairs with a dedicated stage scene. Performers interact among audience seats; front‑row guests receive the opening hand‑washing & tea‑offering ritual. The set dinner includes signature dishes such as Buddha Jumps over the Wall and local red‑braised pork.
Allow around 3 hours for the full experience. Post‑show group photo with all cast members is available. Upgrade your visit with optional Hanfu costume & professional makeup for period‑style photoshoot. Perfect for culture lovers, families and international visitors eager for modern‑interpreted Shanghai traditional art.
Note: This is a modern commercial dinner‑show, not strict historical palace reconstruction.
