Description

Trade Shanghai for the wild Siming Mountains on this 1-day mountain hike. Your day starts with a coach pickup from Xuhui at 7:15 AM, arriving at the Baishuichong trailhead around 10:30. Your first stop is the dramatic 53-meter Baishuichong Waterfall, nicknamed White Dragon Flying. Climb up to Daoshi Mountain to visit the historic Buddhist tea ceremony site. Continue along ridge trails through emerald tea plantations and blooming peach orchards. In the afternoon, hike along Donggang Mountains scenic ridges with sweeping views of Siming Lake far below. Descend via the legendary Yang E Ancient Trail, a thousand-year-old stone path used by ancient travelers. Finish at Xiajialing village, where the coach awaits to return you to Shanghai by 7:30 PM. This is a moderate hike (12-65 years) with significant climbs and beautiful scenery. Bring your own picnic lunch, water, and sturdy hiking shoes.

Important Information

  • Outdoor activities require strict safety measures to be implemented. Team members should follow the team leader's instructions to avoid outdoor risks. Wear clothing suitable for outdoor activities, choosing outdoor clothing according to the season and local temperature. Wear hiking shoes and walking shoes, followed by sports shoes and travel shoes. Bring a thermos flask (filled with hot water), snacks, and dry food. You can choose to bring hiking sticks. The ancient path has generally good road conditions, but there may be ice and snow in winter. Try to bring them. Go green and enjoy the outdoors! Do not throw non-degradable garbage along the way. Otherwise, throw it into the valley to feed the wild pigs :) If this activity is cancelled due to special circumstances such as heavy rain or earthquakes, the staff will notify each participant and you will receive a full refund.
