Description
Your tour begins with hotel pickup in Shanghai and transfer to Shanghai Hongqiao high-speed train station. Present your passport as your ticket to board the morning bullet train to Hangzhou.
Upon arrival, meet your Hangzhou guide at the train station exit. Your first stop is West Lake, famous for its scenic beauty including pavilions, pagodas, and embankments. Listen to the local folk tale 'Legend of the White Snake' while exploring the area. Choose between a West Lake cruise or a small boat ride to enjoy leisure time on the water.
Next, visit Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond (HuaGang Park), one of the Ten Scenes of West Lake, where you can observe local fish species.
Then, continue to Longjing tea fields, renowned for producing Chinese green tea. Enjoy a local lunch paired with tea tasting. Stroll through the tea plantations and learn about tea cultivation from locals with your guide providing translation.
For the final stop, choose between Lingyin Temple or Huxueyan Former Residence. Lingyin Temple, located in the Feilaifeng scenic area, is one of China's largest and wealthiest ancient Buddhist monasteries, featuring numerous pagodas, grottoes, and rock carvings. Alternatively, visit Huxueyan Former Residence to learn about a famous Qing dynasty merchant’s life and business legacy.
After the tour, transfer to Hangzhou East Railway Station for a high-speed train back to Shanghai. On arrival at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, a Chinese-speaking driver will transfer you back to your downtown hotel to conclude the trip.
