Begin by being warmly welcomed into an elegant traditional Chinese setting. Meet your instructor, who will introduce the cultural significance, historical origins, and development of Chinese incense traditions, including the heritage and artistry of incense seal-making.
Observe a professional demonstration of the complete incense seal-making process. Watch as your instructor explains the blending of natural aromatic powders and demonstrates traditional techniques such as ash preparation, ash pressing, powder filling, pattern lifting, and incense ignition. Learn about traditional incense etiquette and the role of incense in Chinese culture.
Next, create your own incense seal. Using a selection of natural aromatic incense powders, learn how to level the ash bed, position the incense mold, fill and compress the powder, and carefully lift the mold to reveal your completed incense pattern.
After completing your creation, relax in a tranquil and refined environment as your incense seal is lit. Take time to appreciate the delicate fragrances of natural botanicals and immerse yourself in the calming elegance and mindful beauty of traditional Chinese incense culture.
