Description

Come to Shanghai and step into China's tea culture, thousands of years old.

You can choose the traditional tea ceremony, or try Song Dynasty diancha (whipped tea). You are also welcome to do both together.

There is no rushing here, no checking off sights. There is only time to sit quietly and drink tea. In a private room, the teacher will guide you step by step into the world of tea.

Traditional Tea Ceremony

Taste jasmine green tea and 15-year-old Fuding white tea, with nuts, dried fruits, and cookies. Learn where Chinese tea culture comes from, and feel how tea is a way of life, about calm, self-cultivation, and harmony. No need to hurry. Drink slowly.

Song Dynasty Diancha Experience

Diancha began in the late Tang and Five Dynasties, and became popular in the Song Dynasty. It was part of daily life for scholars and artists. Emperor Huizong of Song even wrote about it in detail in his book Treatise on Tea. You will learn about diancha culture, learn the skills, and make a bowl of tea with your own hands. When you finish, you can drink it, or take photos of the whole process, the tea tools, the tea snacks, the whisking motions. Every photo looks beautiful.

If you choose both

You can first enjoy the traditional tea ceremony, then make a bowl of Song Dynasty tea yourself. In this way, you experience two faces of Chinese tea culture in one visit.

Whichever you choose, it is a quiet, relaxed, and cultured experience. It is not just drinking tea, it is stepping into the Chinese way of life. Great for first-time visitors to China, and for anyone who loves tea and a slower pace.
