Home style cooking and vibe for traditional Shanghai dishes (本帮菜). The shop is unexpectedly small and cramped. The owner may look a bit fierce at first, but was actually quite kind. We visited during peak dinner time on a Saturday and waited less than 5 minutes, which was okay. We tried several 本帮菜 and there were some hits and misses (I included my ratings in the photo captions). The standout dish for me was the 响油鳝丝. The eel was fresh, soft, and full of flavour. Overall, it was an okay spot for a casual local meal.
