Visited on June 19, 2026, at 7:30pm. The restaurant is situated in a residential area and the main entrance is tucked away in an alley. We arrived on time and were shown to our table immediately. For the two of us, we ordered two appetizers, the crab meat toast, the pork belly and a veggie . The portions are really big and we could barely finish them. At the end, we ordered one dessert to share. Overall, the food and the service were excellent. We will definitely go back.
An exceptional Michelin-starred Shanghai-style Chinese restaurant set in a beautifully preserved historic building. The cuisine, ambiance, and service are all outstanding. If you’re visiting Shanghai, this is a dining experience I highly recommend!
The restaurant is a nice refurbished mansion and it feels like dining at someone’s home. Fine old-school Shanghainese food. Impeccable service.
Great ambience in old building. Cuttlefish is fantastic. Crab roe is a bit too sweet for my liking. Services can be better for Michelin-starred restaurant.
Great food but the portion of each dish was huge. So for 2 small eaters to be able to try many dishes was quite impossible. With misunderstanding, we didnt get one of our dishes, and we were relieved! Even after being very full, we still enjoyed the desserts so much. The service was exceptional. Our waitress was the best giving us good choices and taking great care during our meal. Reservation recommended.
