Local tip
Show tables, VIP balcony and quality drinks paired with a mega-club top-line sound system, and sweating, pumping, dancing bodies is exactly what clubbers are looking for at The 7th Floor.

The 7th Floor is another booming Chinese nightclub, taking over the spot formerly occupied by Angelina Pub.The baroque furniture and glass chandeliers are gone, and the décor is composed of couches and more couches taking up every last bit of space. The raised ring around the pit is where the bar is, and there's a VIP upper floor where people can sit and see rather than be seen. All the usual trappings are there: Top 40 club hits, dice and cups at every table, the requisite stage dancers and giant ice-boats that light up so everyone can see just how many bottles of Champagne you've purchased.

We found this club a little more fun than usual, despite the deafening noise levels. You can spectate as seated groups of men flash their cash, and bouncers don't bully people off the postage stamp-sized stage / dancefloor right in front of the DJ booth like they do at other spots. Also, the performances are more interesting than your typical sexy dancing girl act; we caught a trio of hip-hop dancers. Drinks are in line with the competition, in both price and quality.
