Discover the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao and explore the city of Shanghai on a private day tour. Stroll through the alleyways of Zhujiajiao, cross the stone Fangsheng Bridge, and visit a private garden. Then, explore the Yu Garden and the Former French Concession area in Shanghai. Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Shanghai and head to Zhujiajiao, one of the eight water towns on the outskirts of Shanghai. Stroll along the alleyways, cross the stone Fangsheng Bridge, and visit a private garden, owned by a local, where you can browse a collection of antiques from 2,000 years ago to the late 19th century. Finally, hop on a wooden boat for a ride along the small canals. Next, head to the Yu Garden, a famous classical garden in the south of the Yangtze River. If the Yu Garden is closed, it will be replaced by the City God Temple. Continue to the Former French Concession area, and walk along Sinan Road while your guide shares information about China's more recent history of the early to mid-1900s.
