Description

On day 1, meet your guide at the airport, train station, cruise port, or hotel lobby. Take the world's fastest elevator to the observation deck of the Shanghai Tower. Enjoy a panoramic view of Shanghai's skyline. Next, visit Yuyuan Garden, a famous classical garden in the city center. This garden features beautiful landscaping, traditional architecture, and five resident dragons. As you walk through its serene pathways, your guide will share the history and significance of this UNESCO World Heritage site. For lunch, head to a local restaurant known for its xiaolongbao, or steamed buns. Enjoy the unique flavors of this Shanghai specialty. After lunch, take a leisurely stroll along the Bund, a famous waterfront promenade that offers stunning views of the Huangpu River and the modern skyline across the water. Walk along Nanjing Road, one of the busiest shopping streets in the world. Here, you can explore various shops and boutiques or simply soak in the vibrant atmosphere. After some free time for shopping and sightseeing, wrap up the day. On day 2, explore the beautiful gardens of Suzhou and experience local life. Your guide will meet you in the lobby of your Shanghai hotel, and then drive to Suzhou, which takes about 1.5 hours by private vehicle. Our first stop in Suzhou is the Lingering Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This garden is known for its delicate design and tranquil atmosphere. For lunch, enjoy Suzhou cuisine on Pingjiang Ancient Street. Your guide will help you order some local dishes, giving you a taste of the region's culinary delights. After a satisfying meal, take a leisurely stroll along Pingjiang Ancient Street. Next, visit Suzhou Museum, known for its beautiful architecture and minimalistic design. The museum showcases Suzhou's rich history and culture, featuring artifacts and artworks that reflect the city's heritage. After the museum, head to the Humble Administrator's Garden, one of the largest and most famous gardens in southern China. This garden offers stunning landscapes and serene ponds, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and reflection. At the end of the day, return to Shanghai and drop you off at your hotel. On day 3, visit Tongli Water Town, known for its picturesque canals and ancient architecture. This charming town has more than 1,000 years of history and is a great example of Jiangnan water towns. Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby, and then drive to Tongli. Upon arrival, you will notice the beautiful setting, with lakes surrounding the town and 15 rivers dividing it into seven small islands, connected by 49 ancient bridges. A recommended activity in Tongli is a boat ride through the canals. This boat tour allows you to enjoy the scenic views of the traditional houses and stone bridges while gaining insight into the daily lives of the local residents. After exploring Tongli, return to Shanghai, where you can catch your flight, train, or cruise.
